John Lowrie Morrison

Possibly the most prolific living oil painter in Scotland, John is well known for his powerful lanscapes using a bold, imaginative colour pallette to convey the richness, beauty and history of the land, sea and communities of the west coast of Scotland. After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1971 and spending many years teaching and administering art in education, the demand for his work was such that in 1996 John was able to pursue his passion for paint on a full time basis.

This exciting new collection of work has been inspired by recent visits to Skye and Brittany.
